Record Snow Storm-Weekend of Friday, December 13th
This was a really fun time for Kivunim students. All in one weekend we built a snowman, we walked to the Old City and the Western Wall at 2 AM, and we spent a day helping the Jerusalem community after the aftermath of the snow storm. Jerusalem was not used to getting as much snow as they did, so any extra help was much appreciated. Some Kivunim students went knocking on people's doors asking if they needed any groceries and if there was anything else we could do to help, and others shoveled important sidewalks. It was a very productive and fulfilling day. Many people appreciated our support and thoughtfulness, and they told us Baruch Hashem (Thank goodness [for the help we bestowed upon them]). Even if they did not need help, we still got positive feedback from them. Since I do not know too much Hebrew, I went on the adventure with a fluent Hebrew speaker, so it was cool to see her communicate to the Israeli community!
